Rogues and Scoundrels
Rethink the Recital
“Rogues and Scoundrels” is an interactive performance hybrid that takes the audience on a journey through some of classical music's most fascinating "bad boys." Combining classical music, theater, and the element of surprise, and performed in a non-traditional setting, “Rogues and Scoundrels” reimagines the traditional recital.
“Rogues and Scoundrels” was first performed in 2011 and like most traditional recitals, features a diverse classical music program, word-by-word translations, and an intimate musical journey. However, each musical section is presented in a creative, fresh vignette and performed in the round making the audience both spectator and participant.
“Rogues and Scoundrels” is designed for the classical vocal music connoisseur as well as people new to classical music. This fun, thought-provoking performance piece entertains as well as keeps the audience guessing.
Rethink the recital and expect the unexpected!
“Rogues and Scoundrels” can easily be staged in a variety of venues and changes its musical selections and staging ensure that each performance is a new site-specific experience.
